Our little boy finally arrived this week!
After several days of early labor, Beau Xavier was born at 9:11pm on Wednesday March 4 after 4.5 hours of active labor. At 9lbs and 21 inches, he was a pound heavier and an inch shorter than his older sister.
We are all home, recovering and resting as a family of four this week, in addition to picking up the rest of our winter/spring hay supply (around 40 round bales) and another milk cow who will freshen in late April. She’s the daughter of our cow Millie and is coming from an Amish farm in Morley – we’re very happy to add her to our herd!
Just a reminder that we are taking pasture-raised chicken pre-orders until Friday March 20 – more information here. And, on Saturday March 21 from 9:00am-2:00pm we will be at the Downtown Market Grand Rapids for the CSA Grower’s Fare. It’s a great opportunity to meet some great farms, get information on local CSAs and sample/purchase some yummy food!
A huge thank you to all our customers whose milk pickup/delivery was a little wonky (especially on Thursday & Friday!) and we are back in business now. Please let us know if there were any mix-ups or if we overlooked anything during the chaotic latter part of the week.
