I apologize for the very quick & brief update tonight – we are still recovering from the Growers’ Fare event yesterday and prepping for picking up a new cow tomorrow. Never a dull day around here! [Read more…]
Just a quick reminder that pasture-raised chicken pre-orders are due tomorrow Friday March 20. Our Freedom Ranger chickens are moved to a new banquet of fresh grass, grubs and bugs daily and supplemented with 100% non-GMO grain. Price is $3.75/lb with a $4 deposit per bird. Weights will average in the 4-5lb range. Minimum order of 5 chickens per family and the balance will be due at the on-farm pickup in late August/early September. Chickens will be whole but cleaned with the necks & giblets inside the chicken. We recommend arriving with a cooler, bag or box to transport your bags of chickens in.
Also, remember to join us this Saturday March 21 from 9:00am – 2:00pm at the Downtown Market (435 Ionia Ave) to meet some local farms, learn about available CSA shares (veggies, meat, mushrooms & milk) and how to use your weekly share. Below are links to some great articles about the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

After Monday, he can feel free to come any time. 🙂 [Read more…]
